Raw A2A2 Milk

Raw A2A2 Milk

Why A2A2?

ALL of our milkers are certified by U C Davis to hold the A2A2 Beta Casein genotype. We don’t even have an A1 cow on the farm! Even our glorious Scottish Highlander are A2! Whats the difference? A mutated amino acid chain. Years ago, some how, a genetic mutation occurred at the 67th protein in the chain. A1 posses the amino acid called Histidine, (a lactase) while A2 has a Proline (an enzyme). While this may seem like a small mutation, the human body processes the two very differently. When the body tries to breakdown the A1 , it creates a protein fragment called BCM7, or beta-casomorphin 7. It is this fragment that is to blame. The BCM7 is believed to cause digestive issues, “lactose intolence”, diabetes, autism, mental disorders and auto immune diseases. A New Zealand Professor founded the following.. during a study between two groups of 250 mice, one group fed A1 milk and the other fed A2 milk, Elliot found that 47% of the mice fed A1 milk had Type 1 Diabetes, where as NONE of the mice fed A2 milk got diabetes. 47%!

Why is A1 milk still on the market?

Simple. Over 90% o f the worlds dairy is A1. And to make matters worse.. A scientist has trademarked the phrase “A2”, therefore making it Illegal for other producers to say the have A2 milk.

Need more evidence?..

When a human suffers from “lactose Intolerance” their doctor tells them to switch to goats milk, as it is easier to digest.. why? Because goat milk is naturally A2, as is human breast milk. So why are we still consuming A1?

I encourage you to google the effects of A1 milk. Dr. Mercola has an excellent articles, as do several others.

WELCOME TO THE FARM

Hi, I’m Katie. Our family lives on our fourth generation family farm here in beautiful Idaho. We milk jersey cows, raise pastured heritage pigs and poultry, scottish highlanders for beef and a few sheep for fiber.  Our journey is about healing the body through sustainable agriculture.  After being diagnosed with a autoimmune disease several years ago, I saw a need to change the way we think about diseases in today’s modern world.

Our farm prides ourselves on selling the best meat and dairy possibly.  We do not use ANY gmo’s, corn or soy in our animal feed.  Our critters graze on fresh green pasture and are fed a locally grown, locally milled grain ration.

We are not offering farm direct pickups or tours at this time.

Our dairy and egg products are available at Pilgrims Market in CDA Idaho.  We do not ship raw dairy.

Grassfed Beef, lamb and pastured pork are available by the half or whole.
