Homemade Bloody Mary Mix (Canning Recipe)

Ingredients
  

  • 25 lbs garden fresh tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice per quart jar
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup A1 steak sauce
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated horseradish
  • 3 tablespoons ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt per quart jar

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Prep Your Tomatoes
  2. Preheat your oven to broil.
  3. Wash and quarter tomatoes, then place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Broil until softened and lightly browned—this adds a deeper, richer flavor you won’t get otherwise.
Step 2: Blend & Build Flavor
  1. Allow tomatoes to cool slightly, then transfer to a blender and puree until smooth.
  2. Pour into a large stock pot and add:
  3. hot sauce
  4. steak sauce
  5. Worcestershire
  6. horseradish
  7. pepper
  8. Bring everything to a rolling boil.
Step 3: Fill Jars
  1. Add to each quart jar:
  2. 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  3. 1 teaspoon salt
  4. Carefully ladle the hot Bloody Mary mix into hot, sanitized jars.
Step 4: Water Bath Can
    Process for 40 minutes, adjusting for your altitude.

      Canning Notes

      Always adjust processing time based on elevation. Use bottled lemon juice to ensure proper acidity. Keep jars hot before filling to prevent breakage
