Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
  • Wet ingredients
  • 1⅓ cup milk warm milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • place in the microwave and warm, about 45 seconds, until the butter is just melted.
  • Dry ingredients
  • 3½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ teaspoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Sugar filling
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
  1. Combine the wet ingredients into the bottom of the breadmakers bowl. Add the dry ingredients one by one on top of the wet ingredients being careful not to stir or mix.
  2. Turn the breadmaker onto the dough setting. Press start then walk away.
  3. When's the dough is ready, approximately an 1.5 hours later, place the dough onto a floured surface. With a rolling pin, roll the dough into a large rectangle, about the size of a sheet cake pan.
  4. Combine the "sugar filling" by combining the cinnamon and sugar into a small mixing bowl. Using a pastry brush, brush on a hefty layer of melted butter onto the dough. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the melted butter.
  5. Working from side to side, (think grade school hamburger length vs hotdog) roll the dough into a thick roll. Pinch the seams closed. Cut the dough into 1 - 1½ inch pieces.
  6. Place the individual cinnamon rolls cut side up into a buttered 9 x 11 baking dish.
  7. Allow the cinnamon rolls to rise until doubled in size. Approx 1 hour.
  8. Bake 350° for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
